This happens often when the machine has been switched off for a period and the battery is defective or flat. We find that our customers do not know where the batteries are and at what intervals they should be replaced.
This loss of parameters means that the controller must initialise and the machine must be restored. We often have to do this based on original parameters, as not everyone has a current backup of their machine.
This can make it more difficult and time consuming to restore a machine to working order. This results in longer machine outages, higher costs and production losses.

Where is your backup stored?
Your old backup might be on a floppy disk or tape that is in the machine’s control cabinet, or on a dusty shelf at the back of your workshop.
Perhaps the disk may have become greasy with oil and is now difficult to read?
The floppy disk is an insecure medium to store such important backups, because of age, it cannot be read any more.
